János Herskó was a legendary film director of the 1960s, a studio head, and a film educator who helped launch the careers of numerous talented filmmakers. In 1970, he emigrated to Sweden and later became the rector of the Stockholm Film Academy. In the 1990s, he returned to teach in Hungary; Sándor Simó came to the College of Theatre and Film Arts to teach at his invitation. He was a larger-than-life figure, though his personality and decisions were the subject of much debate. He was also a passionate storyteller—and this documentary is his story.
