The 20th anniversary season of the Metropolitan Opera broadcasts will feature eight live broadcasts, three repeats of previous hits, and an anniversary gala performance that will recall the greatest hits of the past 20 years. The program includes two works each by Mozart, Puccini, and Verdi, a Wagner opera, a contemporary work by Kevin Puts, and works by three French composers, Bizet, Massenet, and Saint-Saëns. The performers will be among the best in the world, including Lise Davidsen, Nadine Sierra, Elīna Garanča, Sondra Radvanovsky, Aigul Akhmetshina, Piotr Beczała, Rolando Villazón, Freddie De Tommaso, Quinn Kelsey, and others.
