Having arrived at a small Russian town, writer Kim Esenin hopes to overcome his creative crisis, but he falls in love with the museum guide Sasha Nikolayeva. Rigidity of her judgements, her cleverness and honesty make him hope about spiritual resurrection. His flirtations ended in failure – she loves a man, who had to emigrate from Russia.
