Set in 1985, the film follows Vincent, who is about to turn thirteen and lives in a middle-class family in the suburbs of Paris, between his distant older brother and constantly quarrelling parents. No longer a child but not yet an adult, Vincent searches for answers about identity, friendship, family, religion, desire and first love.
A coming-of-age comedy about that moment in childhood when the hope of changing the world still feels like more than a mere illusion.
