Director: Emília Goldberg
Cast: Orsolya Török-Illyés, Natasa Stork
A film based on a true story about a notorious 1930s Hungarian assassin, Pipas Pista. Upon his arrest, it is revealed that he was born a woman but lived as a man. In prison, awaiting his execution, he meets Irma, the pastor’s daughter, who teaches him to read and write. Their relationship becomes so strong that Pista is pardoned, but Irma pays a heavy price. Their dubious love is still relevant today, when manipulation and corruption control our decisions.
