Twin Peaks was a milestone in the history of television drama series, and introduced massive audiences in the early 1990s to the surrealistic world of David Lynch. The still cultic programme received a sequel 25 years later, in 2017.
Twin Peaks – Fire Walk with Me is a feature film released in 1992, a prequel to the investigation into Laura Palmer’s death, dealing with the last days of her life.
Introduction by filmhistorian Zsolt Pápai.
David Lynch is one of the most original contemporary film directors. His untameable imagination, special outlook, and distinctive humour have amalgamated into an unmistakable style. Apropos of the Budapest Photo Festival’s exhibition, David Lynch: Small Stories, the Budapest Spring Festival salutes the director’s unique cinematic universe with a series of screenings that presents four of his films, some of them rarely shown, the others recently digitally remastered.
It is not recommended for viewing by persons under 18.
