Aitor, de ocho años, pasa los meses de verano con su madre y su hermano, en un pequeño pueblo del País Vasco, donde su abuela vive de la apicultura. No se reconoce en su nombre masculino – lucha por que todos lo llamen Coco y trata de encontrar su identidad y su sexualidad femenina entre las mujeres de la familia. Su orientación es al menos tan confusa para ella como lo es para su entorno. El estreno mundial del primer largometraje de Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren estuvo dentro del programa de competencia del Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín, donde la protagonista, Sofía Otero, ganó el Oso de Plata a la mejor interpretación, convirtiéndose en la ganadora del Oso de Plata más joven de la historia del cine.
