Director: Vladimir Tumaev
The film story develops in Tundra, which - with its storms, frost, deer and dogs, smoking tops of chums (skin tents) and deer relays running in white haze – gives a unique opportunity to create an unsurpassable visual line of the film. Vannu, Seberuy, Khasava and Alyoshka are four men of different generations. The storyline is based on their complicated relations, on continuity and denial of traditions, elders’ resistance to novelties coming from the mainland, and, to all intents, this is the film about LOVE. It is about faithfulness, torments, jealousy and finding love for the purpose of continuation of their kind.
