The friendship between János and Tamás has broken down because János quit their jazz band to move in different directions. However, they cannot avoid bumping into each other on the capital’s music scene and both have plenty of occasions to reflect on what went wrong. A Finnish manager fresh from the Pori Jazz Festival would like the old band to get together again. In Mária Sós’ mood film, our irresolute protagonists sometimes look for each other and sometimes the camera plays hide and seek with them. Their attempts to reestablish contacts are framed by enigmatic neon lights, ethereal jazz numbers and underground hits.
