Angela is a taxi driver in Bucharest. She is fair, tough and consequential with her passengers, and after many years in the business she has reached the point where nothing surprises her. She spends the daylight hours working and only tea with a splash of rum and TV soap operas are her modest pleasures to fill the lonely nights. However, one spring afternoon she picks up a fare, the handsome but slightly tipsy Gyuri, who might even change her life... An interesting aside to the film is that this work is referenced in the motifs and characters of Radu Jude’s movie Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World (2023). A gritty romance on the streets of socialist Bucharest thronged with Dacias and Trabants.
