Feri (Zoltán Lengyel), at age of about 10, is traumatized that his father (Lajos Kovács) is selling off the family shooting gallery; he is allowed to keep a single air rifle. Years later, the boy is arrested on suspicion of shooting his father. The weapon used is the same one. The detective (Feró Nagy) is at a loss to understand what is behind the murder and Feri’s motivation. The young man, however, remains silent. Parallel with the investigation, we see in flashbacks key moments from the past leading up to the fatal act.
