Having fought in the First Carlist War, Martin returns to his family farm in Gipuzkoa only to find that his younger brother, Joaquín, towers over him in height. Convinced that everyone will want to pay to see the tallest man on Earth, the siblings set out on a long trip all over Europe, during which ambition, money and fame will forever change the family's fate. A story based on true events.

Historia real de un hombre aquejado de acromegalia que vivió en el País Vasco a mediados del siglo XIX. Con una altura de 242 centímetros, Miguel Joaquín Eleizegui, el llamado Gigante de Altzo, fue expuesto como atracción de feria por sus inusuales atributos. Esta hermosa historia de la vida de un personaje del folklore vasco no sólo conquistó al público español con su exquisito gusto visual y su cuidadosa producción. La delicadeza perdura a la hora de abordar a los personajes y sus relaciones. En los Premios Goya 2018, Handia se llevó 10 premios.
