Anilogue 2026: Children's films competition for 6+

Director:

The competition program for ages 6+ features six playful animated shorts for our youngest audiences. During the festival week, school groups are welcomed to special weekday morning screenings, while on weekends we’ll host family matinées where kids and adults can enjoy the films together

In the clouds high above lies a mythical playground where the children of Greek gods and monsters come to play. Amongst them is little Yios with a shining sun on his head. Yios is determined to find friends, but cannot control his explosive energy and shine. The annoyed children devise a prank, leading to Yios’ fall to Earth. But in that strange place he meets someone unexpected – a curious blind boy. Thanks to him Yios discovers how to calm down and finally unlocks the true beauty of his shine.

On a beautiful rainy day, a frog wanders along its water lily pad. Along the water, it encounters a heron. The wading bird has decided it will make short work of the amphibian. Thus begins a duel in the heart of the marsh.
