Anilogue is ready to reset the seasons as it transforms into a spring festival in year 2026. To make the wait easier, the festival is holding a Weekend Edition in November, featuring screenings of four must-see animated feature films at the Uránia National Film Theatre.
The event kicks off on Saturday with the screening of ARCO, the Annecy-winning animated feature by French director Ugo Bienvenu. Arco, a film of gentle humor and lyricism reminiscent of Studio Ghibli, tells the story of how an unexpected visitor from the future can give new purpose to the present.
The program continues with the anime fantasy Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. Directed by Yoshihara Tatsuya, the film is based on the popular Chainsaw Man manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto. In this installment, the main character Denji meets a mysterious girl named Reze. Drawn into a brutal war between devils, hunters, and hidden enemies, Denji faces his deadliest battle yet—fueled by love in a world where survival knows no rules.
On Sunday, the festival presents one of the most anticipated Disney animated features of this autumn: Zootopia 2. The beloved duo, detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, embark on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile. To crack the case, they must go undercover in unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
The weekend concludes with the screening of Little Amélie and the Character of Rain, a favorite of this year’s awards season. Adapted from the autobiographical novel by Amélie Nothomb and brought to life through the unique animation style of Mailys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han, the film tells a tender, poignant, and visually stunning story about the healing power of human connection.
The event is organized by the Anilogue team of SzimplaFilm, with the partnership and support of French Institute in Budapest, Mozinet, InterCom, Forum Hungary, and Goodfellas.
